Now you worry?

So, it appears the big wigs at the GOP are getting a little worried about the direction the party is headed. I can't say I blame them, I just think they're a little late to the party.

You heard this before. After 2008 the GOP leaders were worried their party was old and white. Then 2010 happened and we were lead to believe everything was fine. There's a big problem with that logic. I've said it before and I will say it again, who votes matters. In 2010, old white people voted. Do you know who old white people vote for? Republicans.

Now we're in 2012 and Republicans are just now discovering that young and minority voters only vote in Presidential elections? I wish it wasn't true. People should vote. Everyone should. Well, everyone except old white people. (Seriously, who needs them... Except for you, Granma.) I'm not saying anythign groundbreaking here. Look at the crowd at a Tea Party rally. What do you see? Hell it looks like a Tiger basketball game for Christ's sake. (To non Memphis readers, the Tigers have a lot of older fans. So much so that a lot of folks call them the "blue hairs". I know. It's terrible.)

Having said that, I think it's cute that some folks in the Republican Party act like they care about getting hispanic votes every four years. In states you control you have made it your goal of questioning any person with dark skin if they have papers and now you're concerned about what it looks like? Do you think we haven't been paying attention? Do you think we are stupid?

The answer is, apparently, yes.
